1lbboneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
½cupall-purpose flour
½cupcornstarch
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonblack pepper
¼teaspoonred pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
2largeeggs, beaten
½cupsweet chili sauce
2tablespoonsgreen onions, chopped (for garnish)
1tablespoonsesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
In another bowl, beat the two eggs until smooth.
Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off, then dredge into the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Place the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket. It’s important not to overcrowd the basket for better crispiness.
Air fry the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken bites are golden brown and cooked through.
In a large bowl, toss the crispy chicken bites with the sweet chili sauce until they are well-coated.
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added crunch and flavor.
Notes
For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes.
