Ingredients

2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for drizzling)

Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.

Open the cinnamon rolls and cut each roll into quarters. Place the cut pieces in the greased baking dish, spreading them out evenly.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup until well combined.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces in the baking dish, ensuring all pieces are soaked.

Optionally, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the top for added crunch and flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is puffed up and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with a tablespoon of water or milk until smooth, adjusting for desired consistency. Drizzle the icing over the warm casserole.
