Instructions
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the orzo according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced Cajun sausage and cook until browned, approximately 5-6 minutes.
Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper to the pot. Sauté until the vegetables soften, about 3-4 minutes.
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well to combine, then add the Cajun seasoning. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Stir in the cooked orzo and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and everything is creamy and well distributed.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for an additional 2 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
