In a small bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract until smooth.
In a separate cup or a milk frother, combine the milk and the pumpkin mixture. Froth until it reaches a creamy consistency (if using a jar, shake vigorously).
In a tall glass, fill it halfway with ice cubes. Pour the chilled brewed coffee over the ice.
Carefully pour the pumpkin cream mixture over the coffee, allowing it to create a layered effect.
If desired, top with whipped cream and sprinkle a little extra pumpkin pie spice for garnish.
