to tastechopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until combined.
Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get approximately 20-25 meatballs.
Place the formed meatballs in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
Pour the honey garlic sauce over the meatballs in the slow cooker, ensuring they're well covered.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours, until the meatballs are fully cooked through.
If a thicker sauce is desired, stir in the cornstarch-water mixture and let it cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes to thicken.
Once ready, garnish the meatballs with chopped green onions before serving.
Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs over a bed of steamed rice or quinoa for a complete meal, and drizzle some of the cooking sauce on top for added flavor.
