Incorporate the chopped onion, red bell pepper, and minced garlic into the skillet, mixing with the sweet potatoes and sausage.
Sprinkle the smoked paprika and cayenne pepper over the mixture. Stir everything together well and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until all veggies are tender.
Season with salt and pepper to your liking, tossing to combine evenly.
Remove from heat and let sit for a minute to allow flavors to meld.
